The Earth Week Challenge was designed as more than just a series of environmental activities—it was a transformative movement rooted in education, empowerment, and lasting impact. It reflected a clear commitment to mobilize youth, engage communities, and promote sustainable behaviors that will shape a greener Surigao for generations. Specifically, the project aimed to: Increase Youth Engagement by mobilizing over 1,000 participants in schools and communities. Expand Partnerships with at least five key stakeholders from government, education, and civic sectors. Educate and Empower 1,000 individuals on topics such as waste reduction, energy conservation, and biodiversity. Enhance Digital Outreach through 1,000 or more social media engagements. Promote Sustainable Behaviors by launching at least three new community-led eco-practices. Evaluate Impact using tools that capture at least 90 percent feedback response. Empower Youth Leadership in at least 100 young people through roles and mentorship. Create a Sustainable Legacy by developing a community-owned, replicable environmental framework. This challenge was not just an event—it was a catalyst for change.
