The NorthBiz Flagship Program was developed with a dual-purpose mission: to generate sustainable income for JCI Surigao North while simultaneously demonstrating the power of enterprising leadership in civic engagement. The program’s primary objectives were: To institutionalize a fundraising model that relies not on traditional donation-seeking, but on entrepreneurial initiatives led by members. To support chapter projects and operations through locally sourced, ethically priced products with high community appeal. To promote economic empowerment by involving local suppliers, small businesses, and volunteers ensuring income circulates within the community. To activate and engage members, especially those with entrepreneurial backgrounds, by giving them ownership over planning, execution, and marketing. To build long-term credibility and visibility for JCI Surigao North as a youth-led organization capable of running business-with-purpose campaigns that are self-sustaining, high-impact, and community-driven. NorthBiz was not just about fundraising, it was a proving ground for responsible enterprise. Every initiative was guided by the JCI Action Framework, ensuring that each campaign was not only a source of revenue, but also a platform for values-based leadership, innovation, and inclusive economic participation.
