Batang Surigaonon Youthniversity 2025: Class 001 Makes History!

Making history! The inaugural Batang Surigaonon Youthniversity 2025 – Class 001 successfully concluded on February 15th! This first wave of training, a collaborative effort between the City of Surigao, Local Youth Development Office, and JCI Surigao North led by 2025 LO President Atty. Krystel Grace L. Calderon-Buniel and Project Chair 2025 LO Treasurer Dy Anne B. Gales, marked a significant milestone in youth empowerment. Expertly delivered and led by 2017 Regional Vice President for JCI Philippines Northern Mindanao, JCI Senator Richmond Anthony Riain Alfonso, the program equipped young leaders with essential skills in understanding and advocating for the UN Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs) during the morning session.
The afternoon session focused on Parliamentary Procedure, equipping them with practical skills for effective advocacy and community engagement. This inaugural class lays the groundwork for future waves of the Youthniversity, promising continued growth and development of young leaders who will shape a brighter future for Surigao.
The success of Class 001 is a testament to the transformative power of collaboration and investment in youth development.
