JCI Surigao North brings hope and essential support to 82 fire-affected families in Brgy. Taft.

JCI Surigao North launched the Oplan Kaagapay initiative on November 25, 2025, providing vital support to the fire victims of Purok Camia and Purok Diamond (Nueva and P.Reyes Extension), Brgy. Taft, Surigao City. Thanks to the kindness and generosity of many donors, JCI Surigao North gathered ₱25,000 in cash and a large collection of clothing. On November 27, 2025, JCI Surigao North, led by 2026 LO President Jemima S. Plaza, distributed essential supplies, including goods, bread, and water, to 49 affected families evacuated at Taft National High School, and to 33 families evacuated at Mariano Espina Memorial Central Elementary School (MEMCES). Also, a significant donation of clothing was dropped off at Nueva Gym, adding to the help available to those in need.
This effort shows JCI Surigao North’s dedication to its #JourneyofServiceAndPurpose, offering immediate relief and building community strength. Volunteer students from Caraga Regional Science High School helped with the distribution, showing a team effort in tackling the problems faced by the community. JCI Surigao North is committed to its mission of service, working to improve lives and support the well-being of the community.
