JCI Surigao North Joins 3rd Regional Council Meeting and Northmin Sportfest in CDO, Celebrating Unity and Sportsmanship

JCI Surigao North, led by 2024 LO President Eric M. Libay, had an amazing time at the 3rd Regional Council Meeting and JCI Northmin Sportfest in Cagayan de Oro City last August 17, 2024!
They were energized by the camaraderie and sportsmanship displayed by all the JCI chapters in attendance. It was inspiring to see so many passionate individuals come together to build connections, and celebrate the spirit of sportsmanship.
The JCI Northmin Sportfest was a highlight, showcasing the talent and dedication of our fellow JCI members. JCI Surigao North is proud to have participated and witnessed the spirit of competition and teamwork on full display. 🏸⛹️

JCI Surigao North Celebrates Brilliance and Potential at First-Ever “Batang Surigaonon: Brains of Surigao”

The future is bright, and it’s filled with the potential of our youth! JCI Surigao North was honored to join and support the first ever “Batang Surigaonon: Brains of Surigao” held last August 16, 2024 at the City Gymnasium. Together with JCI Surigao Nickel and JCI Kagayhaan Gold, witnessing the young minds of Surigao showcase their brilliance and passion was truly inspiring. As Nelson Mandela said, “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” These young participants are the future leaders, innovators, and changemakers of our community, and we are excited to see what they will accomplish.
The event was a testament to the power of education and the importance of nurturing young talent. We were captivated by the enthusiasm and dedication of the participants as they collaborated with peers and demonstrated their knowledge.
JCI Surigao North is committed to empowering youth and providing them with opportunities to grow and thrive. We believe that investing in our youth is investing in the future of our community. We are proud to be part of this journey, supporting the next generation of leaders and changemakers. JCI Surigao North Champions Youth Empowerment at Batang Surigaonon Youth Trade Fair

JCI Surigao North was not only proud to be in attendance, but also thrilled to actively participate at the Batang Surigaonon Youth Trade Fair, a vibrant highlight of Surigao City’s Linggo ng Kabataan celebration on August 12th, 2024. JCI Surigao North 2024 LO President Eric M. Libay, and Local Youth Development Officer and our 2024 Executive Vice President Atty. Krystel Grace Calderon-Buniel joined in celebrating the entrepreneurial spirit of Surigao City’s young generation.
JCI Surigao North together with JCI Surigao Nickel and JCI Kagayhaan Gold are deeply committed to supporting the development of young leaders and entrepreneurs in our community. We believe that events like the Batang Surigaonon Youth Trade Fair are crucial in nurturing their potential and shaping a brighter future for Surigao City. JCI Surigao North Gears Up for Q3 with Successful July GMM

Reflecting on a successful 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 held on 𝗝𝘂𝗹𝘆 𝟭𝟵, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰, JCI Surigao North is thrilled to embark on the remaining third quarter preparations for our upcoming events and programs, as well as extend our heartfelt congratulations to all the bid writers and contributors for the Area Conference. It was a true testament to our camaraderie as members united in purpose, planning with passion, and paving the way to lead by example in service to our community.

JCI Surigao North Joins Forces for Climate Action Planning

Empowering Youth for a Greener Tomorrow: JCI Surigao North Takes Part in Climate Action Workshop

JCI Surigao North, represented by 2024 LO President Eric M. Libay, EVP Krystel Grace L. Calderon – Buniel and Parliamentarian Raxiey G. Adolfo, actively involved in an impactful Action Planning Workshop on Climate Change organized by Community and Family Services International (CFSI) and the Provincial Sports and Youth Development Office. The workshop aimed to develop a comprehensive Action Plan focused on Climate Change Adaptations which plans are crucial in securing potential funding and facilitating the implementation of projects and programs by various youth organizations with Surigao del Norte.
Recognizing the importance of youth involvement, CFSI extended invitations to youth groups in the entire province, urging them to partake in the workshop and contribute their unique perspectives and innovative ideas on climate change adaptation. By fostering a collaborative environment, the workshop sought to merge a diverse range of viewpoints and cultivate a comprehensive strategy to combat the impacts of climate change. Through interactive discussions, brainstorming sessions, and knowledge sharing, participants identified critical areas of concern, exchanged best practices, and proposed creative solutions tailored to the local landscape.

2024 LO President Eric Libay has made JCI Surigao North proud by becoming the very first representative from the chapter to attend and participate this year’s JCI Asia-Pacific Conference held in Angkor, Cambodia on June 6-9, 2024. His dedication and commitment to service have set a shining example for all the members in the organization.
His presence at ASPAC 2024 not only showcases his leadership but also highlights the values of JCI Surigao North – impact, excellence, and unity. His journey inspires the members to reach new heights and make a difference in the communities. His participation in the said event is a testament to his passion for positive change and his unwavering dedication to the JCI mission. His presence has brought honor to the chapter and has opened doors for future opportunities.

2024 Youth Leadership Excellence Award (YLEA)

JCI Surigao Chapters Honor Young Changemakers at 2024 Youth Leadership Excellence Awards

June 4, 2024, in support of the National Project of JCI Philippines, JCI Surigao North together with JCI Surigao Nickel and JCI Surigao Wensie proudly conducted the Youth Leadership Excellence Award (YLEA) to celebrate the outstanding achievements of young leaders in our community. This event aimed to recognize students from Elementary and High School from both public and private schools who show extraordinary skills both academically and in extra curricular activities.
We’re honored to have our very own 2024 Executive Vice President, Krystel Grace Calderon-Buniel, as our inspiring Guest Speaker. Also present were JCI Surigao North’s 2023 VP for Internationalism Jemima S. Plaza, who serves as the 2024 Regional Chair for YLEA and 2024 JCI Surigao Wensie LO President Viera May P. Ordiz. We would also like to thank our sponsors: Palawan Pawnshop, Palawan Pay and also the Province of Surigao del Norte, headed by our Provincial Governor Robert Lyndon S. Barbers for the venue of the event.
