JCI Surigao North and Partners Conduct Ocular Site Visit in Brgy. Ferlda for Upcoming Community Project

On March 2-3, 2024, JCI Surigao North led by 2024 LO President Eric Libay with LSDD Iris Jane Canoy, PC Ian Mangubat & Virgil Cayasa, together with TRBJNW Mountaineers, Kasikas Lifestyle and Liburan PH visited Brgy. Ferlda, Alegria, Surigao del Norte to conduct an ocular site visit for the next project. ⛰
As we stepped onto the site, the energy was tangible, with anticipation hanging thick in the air. Surrounded by the raw beauty of the landscape, we were instantly inspired by the endless possibilities that lay before us. From the majestic scenery to the entangled details of the terrain, every aspect of the site spoke to us, fueling our creativity and igniting our passion for the project.

The Board of Directors of JCI Surigao North headed by 2024 Local Organization President Eric Libay gathered last March 4, 2024 for its 3rd BOD Meeting to discuss the activities and plans for the next few months. In the meeting, they delved deep into the heart of the organization’s mission and vision. Through insightful discussions and strategic planning, they reaffirmed their commitment to excellence and innovation. Got Heart is one of this year’s Priority Programs of JCI Philippines which focuses on Community Health Awareness and Initiatives that aims to promote good health and well-being by providing effective health services to underprivileged areas around the country.
Join us in Area 5 as we join the nationwide launching of our National Project Got Heart, offering medical-dental-surgical mission on February 24, 2024, 9:00AM at Barangay Quezon, Surigao City, with the following free services offered:
1. Dental Check-Up
2. Tooth Extraction
3. Circumcision
4. Free Vitamin Supplements to be given for the Young and for Senior Citizens
In partnership with the Province of Surigao del Norte, under the leadership of Governor Lyndon Barbers, and together with JCI Surigao Nickel, JCI Surigao North and JCI Siargao, allow us the privilege to demonstrate love in very concrete ways, with a shared mission of promoting health and wellbeing for all.

Hurray for today! 🥳
JCI Surigao North just concluded today’s Project Management Training held at DOST PRISM Building, having our very own 2023 Vice President for Internationalism, Jemima S. Plaza, as the Resource Speaker.
It was an interactive training which enabled the participants to fully absorb and understand the standard steps on how to effectively plan, execute, monitor and evaluate a certain project based on the JCI Active Citizen Framework. Through this training, the members were equipped with the skills and tools needed to successfully manage and deliver projects, leading to improved project outcomes, increased project efficiency and better stakeholder satisfaction.
The skills and knowledge gained from this training will undoubtedly benefit the organization and its projects in the long run. Hoping all the participants had an enriching training experience! ☺️

JCI 1st Area Council Meeting

JCI Surigao North joins this year’s 1st Area Council Meeting (ACM) for Area 5 Mindanao at Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sure on January 27-28, 2024. Having our very own Vice President for Internationalism, JCI Louie Edison C. Matildo, as Chief Delegate.
Through this meeting, we were able to connect and engage with our fellow JCI Chapters in the area. We are grateful for this opportunity to collaborate and share ideas on how to make a difference, even from a distance. 🎯📈

Working together, hand in hand, to be a catalyst of positive change.

With pride and honor, JCI Surigao North has officially signed a twinning agreement with JCI Durian City last January 20, 2024 during JCI Durian City’s 23rd Induction and Turnover Ceremony held at Grand Hall World Palace Hotel, Davao City.
Much as we are thrilled to have witnessed the induction of new members and celebrated the achievements of the chapter, we are also excited for the opportunities that this twinning agreement will bring. We are confident that this partnership and collaboration with JCI Durian City will be an inspiration and motivation for the organization to initiate various projects and implement programs that will be beneficial to the community that both chapters are serving.
