The Gavel Has Been Passed

JCI Surigao North honors a year of meaningful service and steps boldly into 2026 with new leadership and purpose.

REFLECTING ON IMPACT, EMBRACING NEW LEADERSHIP. ✨
JCI Surigao North’s November General Membership Meeting was a powerful blend of celebration and transition! 2025 LO President Atty. Krystel Grace L. Calderon-Buniel shared a compelling summary of her term’s projects and accomplishments — all made possible by her dedicated Board of Directors — with impact that touched lives: from community livelihood programs to youth empowerment initiatives that strengthened JCI Surigao North’s social weave. Through it all, we lived by our promise to #KeepGoingForward. As the meeting wrapped up, the symbolic gavel was turned over to 2026 LO President Jemima S. Plaza, who — alongside her new Board of Directors — pledged to continue the cherished “Prime North Star” legacy. We would also like to send our deepest thanks to Mayor Paul Dumlao for his invaluable support and the organization’s endeavors.
With hearts full of gratitude and eyes set on the future, we stand ready to build on the progress we’ve made. As we embark on this new chapter under Pres. Jem’s leadership, we carry forward the spirit that drives our organization — because we keep going forward to the #JourneyOfServiceAndPurpose. 🚀

JCI Surigao North is issuing a call to action! The recent Officer Basic Course and 2026 Strategic Planning session, guided by the ever supportive JCI Senator Richmond Anthony Riain Alfonso, has energized the members with a renewed sense of purpose and a clear vision for the future. They’ve delved deep into the JCI Plan of Action, gaining invaluable insights and igniting a shared passion for creating a brighter tomorrow. Now, it’s time to translate that knowledge into tangible results. The organization need every member to step up, contribute their unique skills, and work together to drive impactful initiatives within our community. The challenges they face are significant, but their collective strength and unwavering commitment will enable us to overcome any obstacle.

They are committed to empowering the members, fostering collaboration, and providing the resources and support needed to make a real difference. But their leadership alone is not enough. They need each and every one of the members to join them, to lend their voice, their energy, and their enthusiasm to this vital cause. Let’s #LeadConnectEvolve, make voices heard, and build a legacy that will inspire future generations to continue the important work of creating a better world.
