NuLab goes to Surigao Day 2

Day 2 of nuLab: STEM in Motion Fuels Scientific Curiosity in Taganaan, Tubod, and Malimono Students!

On November 15, 2024, the “nuLab: STEM in Motion Campaign” continued to inspire as it accommodated students from Taganaan National High School, Tubod National High School, and Malimono National High School. Seventy-two enthusiastic students dove into advanced STEM modules, exploring intriguing subjects like Environmental Science, Geology, and Weather Science.
Stationed in Surigao City, the nuLab bus, a state-of-the-art mobile science learning facility by DOST-SEI, offered a unique, hands-on experience with cutting-edge scientific concepts and technologies. This immersive approach not only enriched students’ knowledge but also ignited a passion for science and technology, potentially shaping their future career paths.
With support from DOST-SEI, DOST-Caraga, the Provincial Government of Surigao del Norte, and JCI Surigao North, this initiative emphasizes the critical importance of STEM education in empowering the next generation.

Day 1 of nuLab: STEM in Motion Ignites Young Minds Across Surigao del Norte!

Day 1: STEM in Motion Campaign Ignites Curiosity for San Francisco, Placer, and Toledo National High Schools
November 14, 2024, marked the electrifying start of the much-anticipated “nuLab: STEM in Motion Campaign” in Surigao del Norte. The mobile science learning facility, nuLab, warmly welcomed delegates from San Francisco National High School, Placer National High School, and Toledo National High School, engaging 72 senior high school students with cutting-edge STEM modules.
Students plunged into fascinating topics like Climate Science, Internet of Things (IoT), and Data Science, gaining a glimpse into the future of science careers. The interactive, hands-on approach sparked excitement and curiosity, encouraging students to explore the endless possibilities within the STEM fields.
This dynamic initiative, led by DOST-SEI and DOST-Caraga, in collaboration with the Provincial Government of Surigao del Norte and JCI Surigao North, aims to ignite the passion of the youth and bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world applications.

JCI Surigao North’s recent Officer Bearers Course and 2025 Strategic Planning session with 2017 Regional Vice President for Northern Mindanao, Senator Richmond Anthony Riain Alfonso as our inspiring Guest Speaker, delved into the 2025 JCI Plan of Action, gaining valuable insights and igniting a shared passion for creating a brighter future.
We’re now equipped with the knowledge, motivation, and strategic plan to implement this 2025. From empowering our members to driving impactful initiatives and programs within our community, we’re ready to make a difference and rise up! Leading the Future: Mastering Generative Artificial Intelligence for Executives and Technopreneurs – Recognized!

JCI Surigao North Recognized by PRISM for Championing AI Education and Innovation in Surigao del Norte

October 31, 2024 – In recognition of our impactful contributions to the local community, JCI Surigao North was honored to receive a Certificate of Recognition from the Board of Directors’ of the Provincial Research, Innovation, and Science Museum (PRISM) of Surigao del Norte.
Our project entitled “Leading the Future: Mastering Generative Artificial Intelligence for Executives and Technopreneurs,” aimed at equipping local executives and technopreneurs with essential AI skills, received the prestigious Temiong Award for the Best Local Community Impact Program during the 2024 JCI Philippines National Convention held at Clark, Pampanga last October 18, 2024. This project has proven to be a game-changer, ensuring that our community remains at the forefront of the digital revolution.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to PRISM, DOST, and the Provincial Government of Surigao del Norte for their invaluable support to our community initiatives. Together, we are building a tech-driven future for Surigao del Norte! ✨

Day 2 | October 30, 2024 – LO President Eric M. Libay is making the most of his experience at the 2024 JCI World Congress in Taoyuan, Taiwan. He’s diligently absorbing valuable insights and skills during the impactful Global Leadership Masterclass sessions, eager to bring these learnings back to empower our members and drive impactful projects within our community.

JCI Surigao North Shines at 76th NatCon: A Celebration of Service, Leadership, and New Beginnings

The 76th JCI Philippines National Convention in Clark Pampanga was a powerful reminder of JCI’s commitment to service and leadership. We celebrated the Inauguration of Felix Venson A. Chua as JCI Philippines 2025 National President, witnessed the successful conclusion and final Presidential Walk of 2024 LO President Eric M. Libay, and welcomed in her first Presidential Walk, Atty. Krystel Grace L. Calderon – Buniel as the 2025 LO President-elect.
The JCI PEA awards were also a highlight, recognizing the outstanding contributions of every chapters and members who embody the spirit of service above self. Their dedication and impact inspire us to continue building a better world, together.
