JCI Surigao North: host of the first season of Suyog sa Kaalam

Suyog sa Kaalam: JCI Explore
JCI Surigao North proudly takes the lead as host of the very first season of Suyog sa Kaalam: A JCI Northern Mindanao Regional Training Series, marking a significant step in empowering leaders through knowledge and collaboration. Bringing together passionate JCI members across the region via Zoom, this initiative sets the stage for continuous learning, growth, and shared excellence.
The training featured JCI Surigao Nickel’s 2026 Local Skills Development Director, Gideon Buniel, as the course trainer, who delivered an insightful discussion on JCI Explore. His session introduced participants to the fundamentals of JCI, its opportunities for development, and pathways for active engagement within the organization.
With active participation and strong support from fellow local organizations, this milestone reflects our commitment to developing skills, fostering connections, and sustaining the future of leadership in Northern Mindanao. As we launch this meaningful journey, JCI Surigao North remains dedicated to creating opportunities that inspire, educate, and elevate every member.

JCI Surigao North’s 2024 LO President Eric Libay, proudly joined forces with JCI Surigao Nickel and JCI Siargao to conduct a meaningful Joint Opportunity to Impact (OTI) event in the beautiful island of Siargao last January 17, 2026. The activity was further honored by the presence of 2026 JCI Philippines Northern Mindanao Regional Vice President Junelyn Chavez, whose valuable insights enriched the discussions. Pres. Eric’s inspiring talk empowered aspirants and members alike, deepening their understanding of JCI’s mission, leadership culture, and the opportunities to serve their communities with purpose.
This Joint OTI not only served as a vital learning platform for our aspiring members but also strengthened camaraderie and collaboration among chapters. Through shared experiences, mentorship, and open dialogue, our aspirants were guided to embrace the values of responsible leadership and community building. This initiative exemplifies our commitment to developing purpose-driven leaders ready to make a positive impact across the island and beyond.

Hydrating the Run, Fueling the Cause 🎄💧
JCI Surigao North proudly took part as the 6th Hydration Station partner during the RLSB Christmas Fun Run 2025 held last December 14, 2025, an initiative of the Provincial Government of Surigao del Norte under the leadership of Governor Robert Lyndon S. Barbers.
Led by 2026 LO President Jemima S. Plaza, JCI Surigao North joined fellow organizations in supporting hundreds of runners as they embraced health, unity, and the true spirit of the season. More than providing hydration along the route, our participation reflects our #JourneyOfServiceAndPurpose—serving the community where it matters most.
Right after the event, the members ensured that the area was cleaned and properly restored before heading home, reinforcing our commitment to environmental responsibility and respect for shared public spaces. This simple yet meaningful action highlights our dedication to making a positive impact beyond the event itself.
