Celebrating International Women's Day with Pinay Power! EmpowerHer: More than just a program, it's a Movement!

JCI Surigao North led by 2025 LO President Atty Krystel Grace L. Calderon-Buniel proudly launched EmpowerHer, a program designed to uplift Badjao women leaders through entrepreneurial literacy training. Our 2025 Vice President for Business, Kenn Edgar Parojinog, expertly led the session, equipping these remarkable women with the skills and knowledge to build sustainable businesses. This initiative is a testament to our commitment to empowering women and fostering economic independence within our community.
This impactful program was made possible through a collaborative effort with the City Government of Surigao, UN-Habitat, Tahanan ni Juan Foundation, Inc., United Architects of the Philippines Surigao Chapter, and Off-Grid Solar Energy by Light of Hope Philippines. EmpowerHer demonstrates the power of partnership and the transformative potential of investing in women’s economic empowerment.
