In celebration of Women’s Month, JCI Surigao North, in partnership with Globalport Surigao Terminal Inc., held the final session of the Pinay Power Advocacy Series on March 21, 2025, at the Eva Macapagal Passenger Terminal. The session focused on Women’s Rights in the Philippines, highlighting the key features of the Magna Carta of Women and its relevance in today’s workplace and society.
The discussion was led by JCI Surigao North 2025 LO President, Atty. Krystel Grace L. Calderon – Buniel, and attended by 18 female employees of Globalport Surigao. The session created a safe space for learning and sharing—where participants not only listened but also asked thoughtful questions, shared personal insights, and even related real-life stories that made the topic even more relatable and relevant.
The activity reflects JCI Surigao North’s advocacy to bring conversations on women’s rights closer to the community and Globalport Surigao’s continued efforts to foster a more inclusive, informed, and empowered workplace.
Together, let’s continue amplifying women’s voices and turning knowledge into empowerment.
