Empowering Youth for a Greener Tomorrow: JCI Surigao North Takes Part in Climate Action Workshop

JCI Surigao North, represented by 2024 LO President Eric M. Libay, EVP Krystel Grace L. Calderon – Buniel and Parliamentarian Raxiey G. Adolfo, actively involved in an impactful Action Planning Workshop on Climate Change organized by Community and Family Services International (CFSI) and the Provincial Sports and Youth Development Office. The workshop aimed to develop a comprehensive Action Plan focused on Climate Change Adaptations which plans are crucial in securing potential funding and facilitating the implementation of projects and programs by various youth organizations with Surigao del Norte.
Recognizing the importance of youth involvement, CFSI extended invitations to youth groups in the entire province, urging them to partake in the workshop and contribute their unique perspectives and innovative ideas on climate change adaptation. By fostering a collaborative environment, the workshop sought to merge a diverse range of viewpoints and cultivate a comprehensive strategy to combat the impacts of climate change. Through interactive discussions, brainstorming sessions, and knowledge sharing, participants identified critical areas of concern, exchanged best practices, and proposed creative solutions tailored to the local landscape.
