The Challenge
Many parents from vulnerable communities lacked knowledge about positive parenting, leading to stress at home and communication gaps with their children.
The Solution
JCI Surigao North organized a parenting workshop led by a licensed social worker. The session provided practical tools on positive discipline and emotional support, along with gift-giving to build rapport and show care.
The Result
Parents reported improved communication with their children, better understanding of discipline, and increased confidence in their parenting skills. The program strengthened family bonds and opened doors for more community-based support.
