Empowering creativity and inspiring change, JCI Surigao North successfully conducted the “Creating Change Through Creativity: Basic Photography & Videography Workshop,” equipping participants with essential skills in visual storytelling, photography, and videography. In partnership with Surigao del Norte State University Main Campus, the activity aimed to develop creative communication skills that can be used to document community initiatives and amplify youth-driven impact.
The training featured insightful sessions from Mr. Marc Louie D. Ros, who shared practical knowledge on photography, and our very own member, Mr. Paul Khalil Dumas, who guided participants through the fundamentals of videography—empowering attendees to transform creativity into a powerful medium for advocacy and storytelling.
This meaningful initiative was spearheaded by Batch Nexus, whose members took the lead in organizing the activity in coordination with Atty. Vannessa R. Compasivo-Geli, further demonstrating the spirit of collaboration and leadership within the organization.
As part of their initiative, Batch Nexus also conducted their fundraising project titled “Nexus Trinkets: Little Finds, Big Impact,” offering a variety of creative anik-anik items. Proceeds from the fundraiser will support future youth development initiatives and community programs of the organization.
More than just a workshop, the event reflected the continuing commitment of JCI Surigao North to nurture creative, empowered leaders—advancing the organization’s #JourneyOfServiceAndPurpose and its mission to create positive change and sustain the future.
