Empowering creativity and inspiring change, JCI Surigao North successfully conducted the “Creating Change Through Creativity: Basic Photography & Videography Workshop,” equipping participants with essential skills in visual storytelling, photography, and videography. In partnership with Surigao del Norte State University Main Campus, the activity aimed to develop creative communication skills that can be used to document community initiatives and amplify youth-driven impact.
The training featured insightful sessions from Mr. Marc Louie D. Leading with Purpose, Serving with Heart

JCI Surigao North partners with STI College to shape the next generation of transformational student leaders.

To foster a new generation of transformational youth leaders, JCI Surigao North partnered with STI College to conduct a comprehensive Leadership Training aimed at equipping student officers with the mindset and skills necessary for effective governance .
Held at the STI College campus, the event gathered 44 student leaders for a day of intensive learning, focusing on the core themes of purposeful leadership and organizational stewardship .
The training was divided into two high-impact sessions led by distinguished JCI officers.
The first session, titled “Youth Leadership in a Nutshell: Why Leading with Purpose Matters?”, was facilitated by Kenn Edgar A. Parojinog, the 2026 Vice President for Individual Development of JCI Surigao North. He challenged the students to redefine their understanding of leadership, stripping it down to its core essence: influence over position. Urging them to anchor their tenure on their “why,” he distinguished between temporary goals and permanent purpose . He encouraged the participants to lead with vision, leaving them with a definitive challenge: “Don’t just fill a position. Fulfill a purpose.”
The second session, “Stewardship and Fellowship Workshop,” was led by Raxiey G. Adolfo, the 2026 Regional Skills and Development Director for JCIP Northern Mindanao and 2026 Local Skills Development Director of JCI Surigao North. He focused on the sustainability of student organizations, teaching participants that leadership is a temporary trust, a stewardship that must be handled with care. The workshop also highlighted the importance of fellowship, emphasizing that strong, genuine bonds among officers serve as the foundation for a resilient and effective team.
Building Future Changemakers The event concluded with a commitment activity where the 44 participants pledged to align their future projects with a deeper sense of purpose .
This initiative is part of JCI Surigao North’s continued commitment to providing development opportunities that empower young people to create positive change in their communities .
